MAINBOARD-LISTED communication design and production group Kingsmen Creatives said on Monday that its wholly owned unit, Kingsmen Exhibits, has been awarded a $25.2 million contract for KidZania Singapore.

KidZania is an edutainment centre slated to open at Sentosa island's Palawan Beach next year.

When completed, it will be Singapore's first indoor family edutainment centre.

It will feature over 90 role-playing activities in a make-believe city built to scale for children.

Through interactive activities and "jobs", children will learn about financial literacy, various professions and teamwork, and acquire some real-life skills.

Said Benedict Soh, executive chairman of Kingsmen: "We are delighted to be a part of this exciting edutainment attraction which engages children in meaningful ways. With our experience in the thematic and attractions industries, we will continue to pursue more opportunities to support upcoming attractions across Asia and the Middle East."

KidZania is part of a global edutainment chain headquartered in Mexico City.
