Keppel Land Limited (Keppel Land) has been named the region's Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise under the corporate excellence category (large size company) at the ASEAN Business Awards. The company also clinched the National Award for Corporate Excellence (large size company).

Into its seventh year, the award ceremony took place in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, yesterday evening in the presence of H.E. U Thein Sein, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Mr Ang Wee Gee, CEO of Keppel Land, said, "Keppel Land is committed to innovatively design and develop quality properties of enduring value to enrich the lives of the communities wherever we operate. We focus on the triple bottom line of economic viability, environmental protection and social responsibility to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes for our businesses, the environment and the community at large. This recognition spurs us on in our pursuit of excellence and to push ahead in our sustainability journey."

The ASEAN Business Awards recognise companies that have made significant contributions to ASEAN's economic growth and progress in terms of its growth, employment, innovation and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Organised by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, the award ceremony was held in conjunction with the 11th ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2014. This is the third time Keppel Land has been recognised for its contribution to the growth of the ASEAN economy. The company was named the region's Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise under the CSR category in 2010 and 2013.

Keppel Land has a portfolio of award-winning residential and investment-grade commercial properties, as well as hotels and resorts. It is geographically diversified in ASEAN, with significant presence in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia. About 56 per cent of Keppel Land's total assets and 73 per cent of its net profit (excluding fair value and divestment gains) were derived from its projects in these ASEAN countries in 2013.
