Madam Joyce Chia was celebrating her 41st birthday when Mr Terry O'Connor, group CEO of Courts Asia, personally delivered furniture to her.
She was one of the lucky winners of the Courts CEO Delivery Contest.
Mr O'Connor and his delivery team showed up at her flat yesterday afternoon with a three-seater sofa worth $1,710, mattress, bedframe and some cushions.
They also surprised her with a cake when they found out it was her birthday.
Madam Chia said: "It's a very interesting way to celebrate my birthday and I was not expecting the cake."
The Courts CEO Delivery Contest was launched in March to celebrate Courts' 40th anniversary.
It is open to all HomeClub members and every $400 spent gives them one lucky draw chance to have their items delivered by Mr O'Connor and his team.
He said: "This was my first time delivering the furniture to our customer's place. It went really well, thanks to our capable team of deliverymen."
Mr O'Connor hopes that this contest will achieve a feel-good factor with customers and staff.
He said: "This 40th anniversary isn't just about more business. It's about making sure that we have things that will resonate with our customers."
