SINGAPORE - Singapore Airlines (SIA), Changi Airport Group (CAG) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB) will invest $20 million to promote tourism in Singapore.

In a joint press statement, SIA, CAG and STB said that they are embarking on a new two-year partnership to draw visitors in the leisure, business and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) segments. This will be carried out by intensifying and refining marketing efforts towards consumers coming to and through Singapore and through trade partnerships.

"Our airline and airport are an integral part of the Singapore experience," said Mr Lionel Yeo, chief executive of STB. "To constantly refresh and add value to the visitor experience, it is essential for the industry to rally together," he said .

One new initiative will be the Singapore Stopover Premium package, which is an upgraded version of the Singapore Stopover Holiday targeted at premium leisure and business travellers. It will include stays at five-star hotels, priority hotel check-in services, private transfers, and other exclusive privileges such as spa discounts, shopping vouchers and a variety of premium leisure experiences.

Another initiative is an enhanced Free Singapore Tour, which offers transit passengers a free guided tour of the city. The new tour will include a longer itinerary and include seasonal features during festive periods.
