It is the bank's second largest branch.

The 10,330 sq ft outlet, spread over three storeys, was developed at a cost of about $5 million.

It caters to the affluent segment via OCBC Premier Banking and to the youth and new-to-workforce market at a Frank by OCBC store, while a personal banking branch serves the mass segment.

There is also a corporate cash deposit service for business customers.

OCBC chief operating officer Ching Wei Hong said the branch is the bank's most extensive in terms of catering to different customer segments.

It is also the first time OCBC will have Premier Banking offshore relationship managers at a branch, as customers from countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and China tend to be in the Orchard area when visiting.

The outlet is making a big digital push in personal banking, with three digital kiosks and 13 iPads for customer use.

The branch, which had a soft launch two months ago, has seen a 20 per cent increase in transactions compared with the old Orchard Point branch.
